Accessibility Statement

Effective: September 7, 2026 Last updated: September 7, 2026

Guardian Transportation Ltd. is committed to making guardiantransportationltd.com (the “Site”) and our services accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. This statement describes what we’re doing today, what we’re working toward, and how to tell us when we’ve fallen short.

Our commitment

We believe accessible design benefits everyone. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and to comply with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) as they apply to our organization.

What we do today

The current Site is a small, static informational website. We’ve designed it with the following accessibility considerations in mind:

  • Semantic HTML markup so screen readers and assistive technologies can navigate content in a meaningful order;
  • Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, tested against WCAG AA thresholds;
  • Text that scales cleanly when the browser zoom is increased;
  • Keyboard-navigable links and interactive elements;
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images;
  • Responsive layouts that reflow on smaller screens and at higher zoom levels; and
  • Standards-compliant, valid HTML and CSS to maximize compatibility with assistive technologies.

Known limitations

The Site is a work in progress. Areas we’re actively improving include:

  • Descriptive text for decorative graphic elements is being refined;
  • Formal WCAG 2.1 AA audit and remediation are planned but not yet complete;
  • Content from third-party services linked from the Site (such as our operating companies’ websites and LinkedIn) is not under our direct control and may not meet the same accessibility standards.

Assistive technologies we support

The Site is designed to work with recent versions of common assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA and JAWS (Windows), TalkBack (Android);
  • Browser zoom and text resizing up to 200%;
  • Keyboard-only navigation;
  • System-level dark mode and reduced-motion preferences (where applicable).

Feedback and requests

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Site — a page that’s hard to read, a link that doesn’t work with your screen reader, information you need in an alternative format — we want to hear about it. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days.

If you need this or any other Site content in an alternative accessible format — such as large print, a plain-text version, or an accessible PDF — we will do our best to provide it promptly.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We revisit the Site as it evolves and as accessibility standards change, and we welcome feedback that helps us do better.

Note: This statement will be reviewed by legal counsel and may be updated. A formal WCAG audit and any resulting remediation will be reflected in future updates.
